Finnish designs

Finnish designs and architectures are famous around the world. Today it was my huge honor to have the class and get the chance to know more about the Finnish art and design.
First the teacher introduced a famous Finnish designer whose name is Aalto. This name was quite familiar to me, but all I know about the name is a university instead of a person. Apart from that, the teacher showed the pictures of stone church in Helsinki, Moomin theme mussen in Temppere and they are looked like a piece of art.
The next famous people the teacher refered is Armo Ratia. The artist wanted to create colorful things to the world. Her creation was in many ways: Finnir flight, cups, bags and clothes. The very famous brand——Marimekko is also her idea. The teacher showed us some physicl striped clothes, from which I think the cloth was thick and good-quality. The fun thing is the prices differ from colors because the material needed was totally different. Red cups, for example, is made from gold, which is incredible.
According to the teacher, Kai Frank designed the thickness of the cup according to the Finnsh month. The Fiskars yellow scissors is especially designed to fit for human's fingers and thus is hard to hurt the users. I am surprised because I never think of philosophy inside the designs. Those Finnsh designs are human-based and user-friendly, that is the reason they are so pupolar among Finnish and even people around the world.
Besides, Eero Aarnio, who is the interior designer, have many impressive designs. Auctally I have seen many this kind of designs in the Turku University library, I like it very much because it's cozy and quite.
After class, we went to the physical shop to see more Finnish design. I am impressed about today' learning and art. It was the best class I had in Finland so forth!
