About Finnish(language)

Before I arrived Finland, I was told that Finnish is the second difficult language in the world.(The most difficult one is Chinese) So when I was still in China, I learned Finnish by myself in advance. But after I came here, I still could not understand anything. In my opinion, Chinese sounds more concise and clear and Finnish sounds long and quick, that is why I can not get what people say all the time. As for the spelling, Finnish words always contain more letters and are very hard for me to remember.
After I had the Finnish class here, I know more about this language and I have done my first Finnish homework for oral presentation. That made me feel so good and I started to be more confident about speaking Finnish.
I think the language plays an important part in a culture, that is why I want to learn more about Finnish and get myself more fit in the culture.
