Nijmegen, Netherland

Nijmegen is bordered by the Vaal River and is an important channel connecting the industrial concentration zone in the west of the Netherlands with the Ruhr area in Germany. It is connected to the interior of Belgium and France via the Mas-Val Canal. Its container terminal is an important transfer station between the United Kingdom, Rotterdam and the German mainland. The city is on the expressway network, where major railways meet and transportation is very convenient.

Nijmegen has a long history of more than 2,000 years. There are many places of interest in the city, such as the ruins of Barbarossa, the ancient tax office, the watchtower on the city wall, the town hall, the metrology office, the church of St. Stevens, the church of St. Nicholas, the synagogue, etc. Nijmegen is also an ideal city for tourism.

But my friends and I went there mainly for shopping. The streets of Nijmegen were very prosperous and full of goods. I think the goods are very cheap, so I bought a lot of things and souvenirs with my friends. This is the most satisfactory shopping experience after I came to Europe.
